Copijn Wonderwall®

Copijn heeft specifiek voor toepassing in kantoren een verplaatsbare verticale plantenwand ontwikkeld. De module Copijn Wonderwall® bestaat uit een duurzame, stevige bak en groeiplaat. Watergeven gaat automatisch: in de bak bevindt zich een reservoir. Een filter, UV-lamp en regeltechiek zorgen er voor dat het water schoon en fris blijft. Hierdoor is Copijn Wonderwall® ideaal in onderhoud. Door de plantkeuze, de waterbuffer en het automatische watergeefsysteem is het onderhoud gemiddeld 12x per jaar voldoende. Door de planten regelmatig te snoeien, bemesten, schoon te maken en vrij te houden van ziekten en plagen kan Copijn gezonde en groeiende planten garanderen.

De plantenwand kan overal flexibel opgesteld worden, omdat het een op zichzelf staand systeem is. De nabijheid van een stopcontact volstaat. Door de verticale opstelling van Copijn Wonderwall® wordt een groot vochtig oppervlak gecreëerd zonder veel ruimte in beslag te nemen. Bovendien heeft Copijn Wonderwall® een geluidsdempende werking en is daarmee een ideale oplossing voor drukke kantoortuinen. Bijna alle onderdelen zijn aanpasbaar; in overleg met de vakbekwame medewerkers van Copijn kan de plantkeuze, verlichting, afmetingen en kleur van de bak bepaald worden. Copijn zorgt verder voor de technische uitwerking.

Growing plants on vertical façades is a complicated process. Copijn, specialists in designing and landscaping our green environment, developed the special ‘Wonderwall' system to do exactly this. The Wonderwall is an extra façade built in front of the building's waterproof layer. The framework of the false front is made of steel sections that have been underpinned at the bottom and attached to the building at the top. A planting wall made of metal, plastic and membrane is mounted to this supporting framework.

A balanced watering and feeding system is integrated into the Wonderwall. The outer layer of the Wonderwall consists of a wide variety of plants that are spread across the wall in a camouflage pattern, giving it a varied and ‘wild' appearance. A special variety of plants were chosen for Sportplaza Mercator so that luxuriant growth is visible from all directions. The vertical position of the planting wall requires particular types of plants. The Wonderwall makes urban greenery into a realistic alternative. In cities, where there is less and less room for plants, roof and wall gardens are used more and more often as a way of maintaining a green living environment. Other arguments for the application of the Wonderwall are:
